iva and exhaust manifold

hi all i heard on hear a few days ago that you cant have the exhaust out the side of a 7 anymore is this true before a start to buy the pipe and bends to make one

From what i have read its still a bit in the air, and possibly needs to be heat shielded of some sort.

dont quote me on this, but the other day i heard that it had been taken out of the iva, cause the manufacturers had kicked up a fuss...

maybe we should all kick up a fuss about the price! cant seem to justify approx £500 for a glorified MOT!! im sure the normal motorists would soon have something to say if an MOT shot up to a silly price like this so called IVA.
