IVA price

is it too high? ive been told itll be £590, to 'level the playing field' i recon it should be brought down a bit, seeing as sva was originally brought out to offer the public an affordable vehicle safety test...

£1180 per day is very expensive. Main dealers charge £320 for 4 hours work in similarly well equipped places and they're too expensive.

Realistically, considering the time it can take and the equipment needed, i think between £3-350 is acceptable.

not saying its cheap, but at that price i might consider building another car.

will

Considering that they are inspecting you car to see if it meets their regulations, I think £250 is more than enough.

Re-test

Another point to cosider is the cost of a retest.
Does anyone know what it will be for IVA.
At the moment it is a very reasonable £30, but if it went up to say £200 it would make the total IVA cost OTT, bearing in mind that most cars fail their first test.

BEC's will for sure, cos for one of them its not just a few hundred saving, but a good grand, maybe more.
