fiesta 1.4 tdci help

Hi we have a 04 plate 1.4 tdci fiesta and when its ticking over it makes a sound
like a petrol would if there was a loose plug ( chuffing ) have replaced the egr valve but is still the same performance is good its just noisy any sugestions

I'll swap it for mine?!

known problems:

heater, AC, horn and interior light and LHS electric window dont work (£200 spent so far on parts and labour to rewire the cars interior).

aux belt is chaffing/squeaking very loudly

the clutch, gear linkage and RHS wheel bearing have all gone in the last 2 months

oh theres also a squeak from the LHS door trim

oh and the cd player needs the Ford manufacturers code resetting

and a new brake pedal. AND theres a slight oil leak from the gearbox/engine mating surface.

injector seals, replace them all at the same time,there will prob be load of black crap around them,advise fitting new leak off pipes at same time.common prob

or injector seals as Jonesy says common problem usually stinks of diesel under the bonnet as well.

Thanks for the advice sounds like injector seals it is altho it does get better the more revs you have will have to investigate further cheers Rick
