you have to get the car VIC checked.

annoying thing is they wont inspect the vehicle if it has broken glass or obvious damage.

If you use a Cat C as a donor, wouldn't you just end up with a "Q" plate reg?Cheers Ray

My donor came with a receipt from the breakers stating that "This vehicle has been seriously damaged, the milage is disclaimed and sold as seen with no guarantee"

You would only need a VIC if you were putting the original car back on the road. If you use it as a donor you will be permanently scrapping the original vehicle anyway but if you have the documents you will have proof of age automatically.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Iirc cat c is technically repairable so there shouldn't be a problem as a donor, all you're using is the engine and gearbox!
