Wheel offset

Hi, I just ordered team Dynamics 195/15R15 of ebay. Asked for ET38 but got ET35. Is that going to cause any rubbing? Have ordered the tyres seperately (888s) and they are not coming until next week. I don't want to wait a week, get them fitted only to find they rub.... Any thoughts?? Thanks

It is impossible to say without knowing how much clearance you have either side of your tyre.

All that can be said from the above information is that a ET 35 wheel/tyre combination will sit 3 mm outward than a ET 38.

Whether it causes a problem or not will also depend on the specific tyres you've got. Different manufacturers have a different "real" width for a given nominal width.

In practice, I would have thought that 3mm shouldn't be a huge problem unless you were cutting it very fine with your calculations in the first place.
