hmmn

so you get a load of bits from a company that, well.... may or may not be dodgy bastards risking peoples lives

This represents the views of the author alone, if anyone to do with SPD (sports power drive) wants to sue me, they can stick it up thier collective arses

The dodginess comes from the vendor though doesn't it? Geezer excepted, could this be a realistic oppotunity?

It'd be interesting to know what overheads and liabilities accompany the sale, plus whether there's any pending legal action and what the status of a new owner would be.

Tricky geographical location. It's just down the road from the Westfield factory

Cheers,

Neil.

hmmmn

personally i'd avoid having anything to do with them, or anything they've made. we've all seen that prop shaft, would you really be happy using let alone reselling, risking your reputation and other peoples lives with anything they'd made?

Its says reason for sale, then goes on about what the kit is based on, maybe they dont want any potential bidders to find out the real reason they are selling up.

Hmmm.

About a week ago I came across an item on ebay selling a kitcar business, to include factory demonstrator and all chassis jigs and moulds for RS200 replica.

Can't find it again now but it was the same company. SPD200 was the car. Seller was emigrating.

Obviously breaking the business up. They have other stuff for sale, mostly equipment, so it looks like you wouldn't be buying a going concern.

On their website they also show a "Snake" kit (ahem). So it'll be interesting if that also turns up on Ebay as a business for sale with demonstrator etc.

What was "That propshaft"?

'That' Propshaft was an absolute bodge job of connection the output shaft of a BEC to a length of tube to be the propshaft.
Basically the shaft in question had the profile of the bike's output shaft cut into its' centre and was just rammed on.

There was uproar on here and no doubt someone will post a link to the thread.

and when you've managed to close your mouth and stop ranting try not to post anything on here. I seem to recall we allegedly became a smidgen worried about damaging a pending court action.

Or have I got my wires crossed?

The question is this...

Who dares to email the seller and ask if any propshafts are included in the sale...?

Cock off or cock on. You choose.

i asked him to specify precisely what stock is included! dont want to provoke him cos i might actually buy the lot if there is more good stuff.

I doubt there is literally "1000's of metres of tubing" though!

Almost tempted to setup a fake ebay ID and put a bid or two in myself!

Would be interesting to see the 'legal action' they intend to take!

Allegedly they're currently rather experienced with legal action at the moment anyway!

Wankers...

James

P.S. Saw 'that prop' on Saturday- what a blinding piece of workmanship that was!

Think you guys are right. Even if you got the parts you would have difficulty getting people in the know to buy it

It doesn't say if any"goodwill" is included in the sale!!!

Shows you that "word of mouth" works both ways.

Cheers

Chris

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!
