Mk1 Escort Disc brakes?

Hi,
Dutton project has Mk1 escort front hubs with drum brakes. Where can i get a set of disc hubs and calipers for a locost price?

With the 2.9 transplant, ill need to get these uprated from the current drum setup.

Kindest Regards,
Richard.

I'd try Ian Harwood, big Ford rally breakers, they don't have a website but the contact details arehere

Cheers

Chris

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

Ian Harwood sold up and retired a couple of years ago.
There is an Escort place in Widnes, nice guy and not as pricey as Ian could be. Damned if I can remember what they are called though.

If the Mk1 escort was drum, thn the entire leg/strut will be differrent to the disk eqivalent.

You will need to modify a set of Escort/disc or Capril struts for the dutton.

IIRC, the dutton uses a cut down strut with a bar welded to it????

... Hence my original question for complete hubs!
Not sure about the bar welded to it, i havent looked that closely TBH. ive had my concentration on getting it running and turfing the lawn!
Ill have a look though. Thanks for the heads up.
