Identifing Fireblade ECU

I'm having a problem with the ECU/CDI unit on my blade engine.

The bits I've got are a bit mix and match (not from the same bike) and the ECU doesn't seem to fit the plug on the loom.

How can I identify which year ECU I have?

Thanks in advance

Chris

Is there a number on it you could google? Though I expect you've already thought of that

Ther should be a number on it , but they are only painted on on some.
I don't know that there is a definitive list, of which fits which,
I'll have a look at my spare later

Easier to identify your engine then find the correct cdi for it Chris, is the loom the right one for the engine ?

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Possibly not, The engine is an RRP but the loom didn't come with it and I've a feeling it's from a later bike.

I might have to get another loom and ECU.

Bugger....

Cheers

Chris

Chris don't have a ecu but do have at least one early blade loom, may be of use ? Do you want a pic of the ecu plug on it ?
