Is there a tried and tested method for fitting the pinto sump gasket?? mine has popped out like Jordan in a 32b! I have whipped the engine out and want to get it right any advice appreciated.

red hermatite - seals and sticks. Once stuck use some really long (50mm) bolts to align the sump to the block, stops you dragging the gasket off, fix it up with the right bolts and then swap over the long ones for the right ones... this method worked on a warped sump pan with no probs or leaks!!
