Focus ST vs Volvo s40 T5

I know that the ST uses the S40 T5 engine, but does anyone know if all the drivetrian is the same(box/diff/driveshafts/hubs/uprights)?

The volvo bits seem to be considerably cheaper than the Ford bits (from breakers) I just wondered why.

Cheers

Chris

it doesnt have an ST tag on it , and everbody is blissfully unaware of the similarties to each other .

i believe they share the same platform .

but things like engine can be different in that the ST is hampered by the exhaust manifold because its much smaller .

Warrants further investigation, what would a full Volvo set up be worth?

front cut offs are usually £1 - £1.5k .

depends what you want ?

if your going mid engined with it , look further backwards , whole cars can be had for around £500 .

And dont go pinching my ideas with it

Well it is for a mid engined set up, I don't know what your ideas are but I'll do my best!

I'd be looking for something probably that's been rolled for £500?
