oil levels

looking for some help on oil level for a GSXR1000

the story so far

i had an engine let go and think it was caused by oil starvation

so finally finished fitting a new engine today

had first run today but noticed two issues
1. slight clutch slip when engine hot and when changing gear at above 7000 rpm
2. checked the oil breather pipe and a slight white film around the inside of the pipe ( feels soapy )

i was told to run the engine at 3000 rpm and fill the oil upto full while running the engine it took 4.5 ltrs doing this
the manual said 3.5 ltrs
so the engine has about a 1 ltr more could the above problem be caused by this with the oil foaming when hot

the oil pressure gauge goes from 10psi at 1500rpm to 80psi at 10000rpm i didnt go any faster as not sure if this was right

hope this is clear as i dont want to blow up another engine

please help

gary

life's to short and so was the drive

Usually overfilling an engine with oil, unless it is a dry sump is a recipe for disaster! The crank dips in the oil and whips it into a nice souflle.
