Are there any kit bikes if there are kit cars?

I am just wondering... Are there any kit bike manufacturers? So you could build your own bike at home just as you do with a kitcar? I am not keen on choppers really, ideally a WW2 tourers, italian 70s-80s bikes are more to my taste... but anything could be interesting really...
Thanks,
Gergely

One of my favourites...

Available as kits, and I'm sure there are many many other suppliers too!

Those exile bikes are nice, but too expensive and too chopper for me.
If they sold for about a tenth of their price I would not mind the chopper style, but I wouldn't spend this much moneay for one of these...
Anything more locost that anyone knows of?

Google finds plenty of places in the UK that sell frames etc. But they are very focused on Harley based "US custom bike" styles. I guess it's what people want to buy and/or it's hard to make a sports bike better than the big manufacturers.

Something like these suit?

I am not a fan, but it must have reduced drag and lift at speed?

Some very nice bronze welding on his Streetfighter frame.
