Moving a car from Southampton to Aberdeen...?

I may have need to transport a car from Southampton to Aberdeen.

Can anyone help or recomend a company who could do it?

I can see it being pricey, but I can't see any other way at the moment.

I looked at moving a car from Birmingham to Edinburgh and it was surprisingly cheap. Google will find lots of companies for you. I had quotes from about £100 to over £300.

Southampton to Aberdeen is twice as far and is not a return day trip so I'd expect to pay about twice my quotes.

What's the car and does it have T and T? If it's legal, hire a car to drive there, leave the hire car and drive back. If it's not legal, have a looksy on Ebay for guys who do this sort of thing. I sold a hearse and the buyer got quotes to delivery from Whitby to Dorset. They varied from £120 to £500!! He chose a guy who had the correct insurance and it cost him £290 IIRC.

I'll have Google and see what I can find.

The car has T&T so it could possibly be a meet halfway + return by train job.

we would fly down and drive back. Macspeedy just bought a car from there and did exactly that.

are you member of AA, RAC, greenflag?? report a gearbox problem and they send a low loader to transport it back home (if you have home recovery). Or join the AA for this reason alone
