hmm not sure I get what they were clapping at tbh seen much better control during rally’s on gravel and snow

I've heard of the phrase 'get all your braking done before the corner' but this guy has now invented the phrase 'get all your steering done before the corner'.

Good effort, even though I hate the whole idea of drifting as a competition

100% agreed. Real motorsports are judged on time or position accross the finish line, not style. This is high powered ballroom dancing.

I like the idea of a drift but could never support it as a sport. Drifting as a sport is a fashion show of motorsport imho

I remember whatsisface from 5th Gear (oh, I remember - Tiffany Dell) doing a much better powerslide a few years back - in a large Mercedes saloon!
