Witness Request
Just received a letter from the police. It's asking me if I witnessed a fatal car crash back at the beginning of October.
Basically, due to our wonderful Big Brother surveillance systems, they've been able to identify that my car was in the general vicinity at the
time. Thinking back, I pretty sure I was in that area at the time, but I never saw an accident or remember anything untoward?
I've never received anything like this before. As I can't help, do I simply ignore, or will they still expect a reply even if to say I
never saw anything? The exact wording is:
quote: We are appealing for witnesses to this collision and would like you to contact us at your earliest convenience if you consider you have any
information regarding this, however insignificant you feel it may be

As you have no info, I would say you can simply ignore it
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Common courtesy would make me call just to say sorry but never seen anything.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

There should be a number there to call so a simple phone call to let them know you saw nothing will clear it all up in 5 mins.

I agree call them and let them know you saw nothing.
Even not having seen anything could be useful information as it will help bracket the time of the incident more accurately and maybe eliminate
suspects.

Thanks for the replies.
I guess it won't hurt to drop them a line then. iank has a good point that it may help them to know I didn't see anything.

So close, yet so far. All I need to do is finish off the front body work and electrics and it's done I'm just struggling to find the
time these days
I do enjoy driving it up and down the drive, though
