Fantastic. I'll put it on the shelf next to the tube of "Instant Piston Ring".

Where can I get instant piston ring?

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

sounds quite good, 200cfm at 1 bar, but only 2.7amps required. so thats about 30-odd watts is it?

i wonder why my compressor at home needs a 13amp fuse with 240volts when it only does around the same air flow? must've been lashed... i'll have to tell machine mart about this one, so they can update their stock lines.

my mistake, its 1psi. Thats gonna help a lot. it says it uses the vacuum in the throttle body to suck air in! like any engine then...

Holts Instant Piston Ring.

Was available about 20 years ago, you squirted the stuff straight into the bores through the plug holes and away you go.

We bought some at Crown Motors, Waterloo, Huddersfield, on our way to Silverstone one year. We had a car for competing in the Shell Mileage Marathon (here) and though "what harm could it do". After putting a Rover V-8's worth into the 22cc engine no noticeable change could be found.

I suspect the same could be true for this fine product.

I think it works similar to redex, quite a few 'worn' piston ring problems are really only lacquered up with burt oil. 50cc of redex dissolves this over night, and problem solved. Beware on startup, the amount of white smoke is just unbelievable, takes about 5 miles to fully clear, but it can really do the trick. I have saved on about 12 expensive rebuilds using this stuff first, if it doesn't work, then yes your rings are buggered, but its worth £3.99 to try first!

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

I used to love redexing my old Mini when I first started driving. Next door ran out to see what was happening as he thought the car was on fire Some down the plug holes and in through the air intake then rev like mad. You could actually tell the difference in engine flexibility after.

one PSI not 1 bar.

Just imagine all the extra power a whole PSI can give....

Okay,

Someone check my maths

200 cfm = 28,317 litres / min.

Punto 1.3l engine @ 5000 rpm uses

6,500,000 litre / min

One born every minute springs to minute

my maths is shyte, but I think yours is wrong

on a 4 cyl, there are two induction strokes per rev - therefore, 0.65 litres per rev, times 5,000

= 3250 litres......

bags in reserve!
