About 4-5 inches on the ground and a couple of small flakes this morning.
Clear sky and bright sun at the moment.

About 3-4 inches of snow in Bury. Also resembles an on-road skating rink, thanks to the worlds least-gritted A-road.

My street hasn't been clear of snow since the Saturday before Christmas.
My first say 800m is solid ice, about 150mm thick, followed by thinner ice for another 5-600m.
In previous years, we would have seen a gritter within the first 24hrs of a freeze up. This year, nothing.

Cutbacks ?....
