trial engine run
i want to see if my engine will fire up before i carry on with the rest of the car...
is there any way i can fire it up without adding all the other bits and wiring...
i have the carbs fitted and a dummy exhaust..
the timing is all correct and ready to go..
its a 2.0l pinto on points ignition....

yep. i wired mine up with just the ignition wired striaght to a battery (edis), gravity fed fuel, and battery straight to the stater, and a push
button to the solenoid.
just don't run for more than about 20secs or so if you've not got a cooling system

If it's got the stock pump then use that rather than gravity feed. Just dunk a pipe in a can of fuel. And have the return go back to the can.
