sierra diff info please
Sorry if this has been covered before everyone but i've not had much to do with this type diff before.......
i'm building my car at the mo and have fitted a 3.9, 7.5 inch diff with 100mm drive flanges just to get through IVA but want to ideally build a
3.3 LSD. Can you swap parts around to acheive this and also can 108mm flanges be swapped for 100mm drive flanges........
any info would be of great help..............
thanks in advance

Hi there. We started with the same diff as you but with 100mm flanges. Then we bought a 3.36 CWP off fleabay and the lsd unit from another source. All
went together sweetly enough.
Total cost was around £250 IIRC.
I'm not sure whether it is possible to change drive flange size.
We threw the 3.92 CWP away, only to find out that they are quite saleable.
Our engine is a 929 Blade.
What size tyres are you proposing to use Chris?
Unless you are going to use small diameter stuff you could be gearing too high with a 3.36 diff.
Have you checked out the speed / gearing calculator?
Geoff.

I'm using 15inch wheels.
The plan is to have a 3.62 and a 3.36 both with LSD's fitted depending on where we go or what we do........
The next thing is to find diffs.....!!!

7" diffs are easier to find, you will need 2 x 3.62 LSD's, these are the cheapest and found on the 2.8 V6 Sierra's then look for any
non LSD 3.9 and 3.3 swap crown wheel and pinions.
These will be 100mm Lobro's
