I don't have the money (or a car) for the engine at the moment, but do you know:

What sort of power the 4agze puts out?
What gearbox goes straight to it (if not, what adapter is needed)?
Is it a similar size to? (zetec, kent, VX etc)

Thanks,
Steve

160bhp and will fit onto the box from the AE86 Corolla (if you can find one).
Adaptors available for type 9. Quite a compact motor, shade bigger than a xflow
but the supercharger bloats it out a bit.

They put out the same bhp as a 20v blacktop 4age but about 50% more torque. Type 9 fits with an aftermarket bell houseing - from Raw and others.

There is a T50 gearbox on eBay but its nearly £400. It's meant to be a really nice unit to use - although I have no direct experience.

Plus you can bump the power up to a reasonable 180BHP with a larger crank pulley.

I am running a 4age at the moment - will the engine fit the same mounts, bell housing etc?

They all use the same 3 rib or 7 rib block so bolting it in won't be a problem. You might want to check clearances first though as the supercharger gubbins do add to the dimensions.
