ZX12R 2005 Sump Mods

I am just starting my Sump Mods to a ZX12R (2004/5)

The Sump has a raised bit to hold of the oil pick up.
Is this to over come, by notching, if so how much.
Thier is also another piece for support.
With a flat plate bottom, this no longer has support. What I do here?

There is also a rubber pipe. What is this for?

I have seen before.
Thanks fopr the reminder.

Just had a look.

Looks like is sump is a bit more chopped than Mine.

I was a bit nervous of chopping too much off.

Can not see the rubber pipe I have in the photos.

Do you have any photos? Mine is very similar to Hellfires, I chopped off an equal length of the pickup pipe in comparison to how much the sump was shortened., then I put a small upside down v notch on either side in the bottom, probably about 10mm high and maybe 5mm or so wide.

The support for the pickup is about half way up closer to the top, there's kind of a step on it.

Is the pipe an oil return? I think I have one but I'm not sure.

Edit to add, mine is a 2001 so may be different?
