help me indentify this rack (mnr)

hi
before i order something wrong, can you tell me what sort of rack is it?
are ford rack modified to fit our cars?

from as much as you can see in that photo (not much because its VERY big, and only shows a small bit of the rack) looks like the escort one on my car. mk2 escort had metric threads on the ends, mk1 had imperial

still think its ford escort mk1 or 2.
the clamps even look the same as the one rally design sell

Due to lack of Sierra racks MNR now supply kits with new MK2 Escort racks.

Just a word of warning.

MNR supply both Left Hand Drive or Right Hand Drive Steering racks ( both escort type ) depending on which side the customer wants the sterring wheel on

Hi

Yes it's the Mk 2 escort for sure. It is one of the later aftermarket versions.

See it has the metal plate on the top for the shimming of the rack bar. Now this is the same desighn as the original one that ford used. BUT the Ford one also had a simalar plate with two bolts holding the pinion in place also.
