Headlight Mounts - MK Indy

My Mk has been built with a steel bar that goes across the top of the chassis - The headlights are mounted on the end of this. However, I have seen that some have a more dedicated headlight bracket mounted on each side. Were these stndard fit and the steel bar of mine a builder option ?

If so can the Bracket sbe bought and fitted to any MK chassis .

cheers

MK standard fitment always used to be a bar bolted across the top chassis rails wit a round part on each end for SVA rads. Only downside was the need to cut a slot in the nose cone to clear it.

IMHO it would have been neater to weld a short sub on each side on to the sides of the upper chassis rails. A few grams lighter too

My standard Indy has 2 short stubs too.

Personally I would have preferred the bolt on bar so the lights would be easily removable for trackdays etc.
