Locost new build

Hi guys, anybody out there in the Shrewsbury area willing to give some much needed advice on where to start???
Have purchased chassis complete with wishbones and wondering where to go next with build.

what chassis have you bought? pre built or need welding!

Pre built, but will need a few bits and pieces adding I think. Had a look at buying the steel from Talon motorsport but bottled it!! Decided to buy an aborted project. Could do with advice on how best to organise build

I would start by checking all the welds on the chassis and reweld them if required, check the geometry is all correct. Thats where I'm up to at present after this I was going to do the following.
Give the chassis a lick of paint.
Fit axel.
Install front suspension.
Steering rack and column mounting
Engine and Gearbox trial fit
Bodywork trial fit
Then everything else.

There are quite a few build diarys in the links section on here at the top of the page, perhaps have a look through and you will get a general idea of the way forward.
Take your time to do the research it will make the job easier. And as said check your chassis is OK first.

trial fit every thing weld aditional brackets etc
then prep every thing for spraying etc

then brake lines fuel lines

re fit

have fun

i am 15-20mins from shrewsbury
