Friend needs this (big) bit
What's this bit actually called. A friend's just bought a (basically) unstarted Tiger kit and he's missing this bit, he's tried
every local scrappy without success, he's now thinking he may have to buy an entire car to get it. Anyone got one they want shot of or know of
one for sale

Does he need it? As said, very heavy stuff? Can't he just use IRS or dedion or live axle?

What does it actually do, my velocity has wishbones, shocks, springs, diff and driveshafts, job done, what's all that ironmongery for?

It looks like a different type of Rear Suspension where its just a bolt on from underneath of what it comes out of the sierra. I'd get him to
look into converting it to IRS or another type

if he wants to use the sierra trailing arms he would be better off welding brackets unto the chassis for the arms and diff.

Needs chucking in the bin, rear trailing arms and Live axle if he wants an easy life.

Have just brought a whole axle of ebay for diff and drive shafts. Do not need that bit if you want it you car have it, as a was going to throw it
away.

id call it a sierra rear subframe, which holds the diff and semi trailing arms in place. I used one in my scratch build and i can tell you, its damned
heavy. Definately best to be rid of it.
Beware! Bourettes is binfectious.

Not overly local, but I've got one you/he can have for the cost of shipping. It's as removed from an A reg Sierra donor and hasn't
been cleaned/refurbed in ay way - U2U if you're interested.

As others have said it may be worth looking at some sort or lightweight subframe with wishbone suspension althougth the Tiger isn't the only kit
to use the whole Sierra back end , some of the Robin Hoods used it as well

hi i think it is used solely for convience as it is complete easy to mount easy to get bits for ie standard rear sierra bushes/radious arms etc ps

Thanks for all the offers and suggestions chaps. It's a chap I work with who's bought the Tiger, I won't see him again until Tuesday

Hi Folks, I'm the friend. A mate and I are takling the Tiger as our first project s we're gonna stick with the simple option foirst time
around and use the beam. We have one of our donor but its rotten. I'll message the two chaps who offered theirs' and sort something out.
