Caterham use the quaife sequential 6 speed in the R500 (260bhp car)

Plenty of 5 speed box options for the power, but not many 4 speed ones....

I think the quaife sequential is a bit more than 4k. Unfortunately because I want one. I too am looking at approximately 260-270bhp when my engine returns from the builder. I currently have a tran x straight cut heavy duty box so I'll let you know how it holds up at my first race.

I don't know about TranX but the excellent Quaife H/D straight cut 4 speed synchro Rocket box is allegedly good for 275bhp*.

It happens that I've got one with race ratios I might put up for sale on ebay in the near future.

Linky
(*It's worth checking the power rating. I'm not sure about the validity of that site, but I couldn't open Quaife's website which seems to be being rewritten at the moment.)

unless you get your kicks out of re-building gearboxes with 260 bhp and the revs required to get to 260 bhp from a duratec the minimum i would go for would be a quaife 4 speed dog box
