are gsxr 600 and 750 airboxs the same?

I ordered a gsxr600 airbox to get the trumpets out of it. Bought i on ebay advertised as a gsxr600 airbox. Arrived today with gsxr750 tipexxed on the side of it. And it doesnt fit. Have i just made a mistake with the year of the airbox, or are they different?

the diameter of the rubbers were too small, i thought it would have been the other way around. Anyone got any info?

Thanks
Mikkel

are you sure you have 600 throttle bodies
im sure the 750 box is the same only differance is the tubes and they sould be bigger for 750
my gsxr 600 tbs are 45mm out side diameter on the airbox side if that helps

plus you need to look at what year tbs you have as they change

I only really investigated the k1-k3 bikes, as i used those tbs.
But for those years the gsxr 600 are smaller than the 750 and 1000(which are the same size)

I can go measure the rubbers tomorrow, (i have a couple of spare sets for 750/1000)

Did you not just get an airbox from the same year as the TBs?

If the airbox is off a carb model then it will be different, GSXR600-36mm carbs GSXR750-40mm carbs.

which year?

The EFI ones definitely have different trumpets (I am after a pair of the longer k1-3 gsxr750 trumpets).

Easy to check part numbers on http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm

I probably have a set of gsxr1100 carb trumpets, but I suspect these are not right.

I have gsxr 600 tbs on my zetec. I got 4 of the longer trumpets from the local suzuki dealer. Not too sure what year they are.

The trumpets are part number 13882-39f00 and the clips are 09402-52208. Total for 4 of each was 92pound

Hope that helps
