Carb Inlets/outlets

I'm sure this has been covered before but I'm bu**ered if I can find the relevant thread!

I have two inlets/outlets on the top of my zx6 carbs outside of the airbox/filter backplate - should I leave these open or should I blank them off?

Cheers
Ray

OK I've now found a thread which seems to suggest that these pipes are something to do with idle control on the bike and should be left open - can anyone please confirm.
Cheers
Ray

Leave them open, blocked mine and it gave no end of problems, spitting back, backfiring...

If your running an airbox or filter just run them into the back...

Sorted.
