Type9/Injectors - Scotland

Anyone got a type nine box in Central Scotland I can take off their hands before I go down the scrappers?

Also Bosch Injectors (not much hope I know)?

Cheers

Re: type 9 boxes
Remember and get the one with the detachable bellhousing. I thought they all had integral pig iron bellhousings when I did the sylva zetec. It weight the same as.........
err a big heavy thing.

P.S. Not looking forward to tomorrow night - car looks really scabby - don't look too close

True. Do you know which vehicles these light ones were on? I think the integral cast beast was on early cars...

Don't know what your worried about... No one will be scrutineering each others cars! Just a friendly meet. The previous meeting have only had one car so should be great having a few.

I dont know what different bosch injectors are available, but I have some old Bosch K-Jet ones still sitting in an engine (from a VW)

What injectors do you need? Would the ones that came with my engine be of any use? They have never been used.

As for the type 9 there is a scrapy through this way that has a pile of them and sells them for £25.

Why not use an MT75 to go with that zetec?

I think they are lighter and stronger than the type 9.

As for injectors, if you are looking for ones to run a tuned zetec (160bhp?) i suggest a set out of a 16v astra gte.

There are plenty of sites on the web that list the serial numbers, flow rates and which car to look in, for just about every bosch injector.

The serial numbers can be found on the side of each injector. Using your maximum power you can work out the correct size injector you need. When workin this out remember to try for about 80% duration as a max. if you cant get 80% use a bigger injector.

Doug.

Thanks Guys...

Stu I'll speak to you tonight...

MT75 won't fit in my tunnel full stop.

I've sourced a whole heap of info regarding injectors already. Just wondering if anyone has any knocking about.

Do you know the part number of those GTE 16v Jobs??
