Carb Tuning
I've seen reference to lifting needles in relation to tuning/checking bike carbs. I understand how to lift the needles and that it will
determine whether the mixture is too rich or lean, but am unsure what symptoms I am looking out for when doing so. Can anyone point me at a guide
that I can use please.
Cheers

Realistically it's difficult to ascertain whether you've gained or lost (or whether you need to in the first place) by shimming the
needles without access to a wideband lambda or a rolling road.

this is a useful link

Nothing in this write-up requires a lambda probe, but obviously it would help a lot to have one and would avoid going in the "wrong
direction" with any changes.

This may explain it. Its a single CVK 40 from a KLR single but is the same just x by 4.
