I won a trophy!
As a few people know i sold my indy last year to fund my new hobby, Karting. I spent the months from then finding a kart and getting all the stuff
needed. After my first outing for a practice day i managed to damage my ribs really badly with me ending up in hospital! Second time at another
practice day having problems again with the ribs. Ended up buying new seat and another rib protecter.
Went for my first race day a couple of months ago and was well behind everyone and really being just in the way of everyone. The other novice racer
was 7 seconds faster than me!
Second race day was a mixed bag with 2 DNF's but made up a few seconds on my lap times but still 4 secs of the pace.
This sat i went to my 3rd race day with an open mind to just finish all the races. On the practice laps my clutch felt like it was slipping.  Oh
great! going home early then but after 3 laps it fixed itself!! Told myself after then just to go out and drive the nuts off it and be a make or brake
it day.
I tried and tried to get faster and faster and i drove my heart out to the point i was gasping for air in the final.
I think i gave everyone a right shock as i made up those last 4 secs a lap and was doing 0.06 of a sec under the fastest driver time!!
I was dying but flying!! Beating the other novice who was run by a factory team.
And i won this................
