Do i need Hazzard lights?

Do i need Hazzard lights by law as the indicators all work but i do not have a way flasher?

If your car was registered after 1st April 1986 then it will need them for an MOT.

For the MOT do you need a dedicated hazard switch, or just a means to flash left/right indicators in unison.

And also... do you need to use your indicators as hazard lights. Or could you use something like led flashers. The sort roadworkers use on their vans and trucks?

So completely seperate the turnsignals and hazard lights. Or does it have to be the same lights?
