Haynes roadster suspension
Does anyone know of any flaws in the rear suspension of the Haynes roadster?
Just been given a sierra rear axle and i can never stop fiddling with the car.

i know that one of the book issues had the wrong dimension for the rear wishbones. They were 10mm shorter then the needed to be.
As long as its fast.... i don't care

First edition book only tho... IIRC second edition is correct

You need to get on the Haynes forum, corrections advice etc available there

if you are talking issues with its performance, id say one problem is it has no facility for changing toe...

You can change toe by packing the hub flanges with washers as the short oval racers do

Hi
The main problem is there's no triangulation in the rear section of the chassis. The geometry could be right static but flex will see it moving
when loading is placed into the chassis.
And as mentioned add toe adjustment into the wishbones rather than the hubs.

Thanks for the replies, So a cheeky mod to the wishbones and something along the lines of the Cat CSR chassis for bracing as below and it should be
good.
This should keep me busy for the next year.
