Did you see that program about making jet engines a few weeks back. Each fan blade is carefully grown from a single crystal of metal, then they have special cavities inside which are gently inflated in a special oven to form the exact shape with incredible precision - then they are fitted to the engine by a bloke who wacks them into place with a big hammer

yeah, but thats the road bridge, the one that might fall down but the don't know when (not the proper forth bridge)


fixing things with a hammer works 7 times out of 10, but the other 3 times it'll atleast be properly broken before you replace it
