Lawn mower starter motor.

I’ve been working on my mother’s ride on lawn mower today, it won’t start.
I discovered the starter motor had seized.
I removed it and took it apart; I found that one of the four large magnets on the inside of the outer casing has broken away.
These magnets are glued in place. Does anyone know what glue in suitable for this application?

Hard to comment without seeing it - but 2-part epoxy (like Araldite) should be suitable. Probably need to take care that the glued surfaces are squeaky clean to ensure that they stay stuck, and allow the full setting time for maximum strength (e.g. 24 hours).

I'm surprised that there wasn't some kind of mechanical fastening to keep it in place though...
