Wanted: leaf spring

Hi all,

This is a very long shot, but is there anyone near Southampton who has an old leaf spring, or piece of lying around that they want rid of? I need some bits of the metal to make some body slappers for some metal finishing....

Ta

Chris

I am nowhere near you, in Co. Durham, but we have more old leaf-springs lying around than you could point a stick at!
Telle me what you want, and if you are willing to pay postage/courier I will cut them as you require!
Regards
Jon

Hijack, Sorry,
Why Spring steel?
Hardness?
Heating and quenching regular steel would not get you similar result and easier farication?
Thanks
