OT - central heating again....

Hi all,

Central heating question again.... having changed the pump - the central heating and hot water are still playing up...

Heating works on continuous, but as soon as the hot water is switched on the whole lot stops working, and also the CH doesn't work on timed.

Any ideas??

Ta

Chris

what do you mean by "stops working"

It explodes? Presuming not as you're posting

Gas? Electric?

If Gas, Pilot light goes out?

Or just goes back to pilot light?

Ah - yes the first post was a bit lacking in info!

On everything except CH continuous, the boiler comes on full burn for a few seconds, then stops working and goes back to standby (though the pilot light stays on)

I recently had a similar issue.

The CH would not come on unless the HW was also on.

Turned out to be the 3 way valve....£130 fitted.
