Freshly painted engine

The paint went on my engine last night and I am really happy with how it looks. Now all I have to do is put it back together.

It seems to be a colour you love of hate (most people hate). I love it
It is focus RS Green, a 3 stage pearl.

I can't recall seeing a green engine before, looks like a cracking job. Look forward to seeing it with all the ancillaries back on. Take it the car is going to be green?

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Hi

You seem to have had the mating surfaces painted, (apologies if this is not correct), and I'd be concerned that engine fluids will seep between the paint and the base material resulting in leaks, which would be annoying and possibly detrimental.
I would remove all paint from the mating surfaces before rebuilding the engine.

Regards Mick

I want my MR2 painted in that colour! I'm told it's very expensive paint though.

Should really get about 100c anywhere except around the exhaust ports, where almost nothing would survive.
