Browser Issues - weird?
ok here's the story. I have a link on our website Southernkitcars.com, it's the 'where have we been' link. I'm hearing
that it doesn't work with firefox but those that have told me that have said they've been able to access/see it using IE ( I only use IE
so didnt know the problem existed until today).
I'm technical to a degree but not sure if this problem is likely caused by a setting somewhere on our hosting site, or with settings that i can
change using c/panel for the website or whether it's at the user end of teh chain?
any ideas good people?

It comes up as a wierd extension; .mht
Shouldnt it be html?

Not sure if you saw my other reply, but it doesn't appear to work in safari or chrome either

Looks like .mht file are mime encoded multiple part archives.
Firefox can cope but only with an extension for archives.

The web page concerned needs to be re-saved as full html, rather than a web archive. I think you can do this by opening in IE then Page/Save As...
The html page needs putting on the website instead of the mht one.
You'll then need to adjust the link to point at the html page rather than the archive. I usually use archives only to keep a local copy of
someone else's pages. The website really needs html pages instead.

PS I've tried this with a local copy, but I lose the links to your photos, so this might need some attention...

thx guys, looks like a deeper can of worms, as i saved it as html as you suggested and uploaded ( not linked just stand alone to try it ) and i get a
message saying i need to change my internet settings to allow active content...did that but nothing, now it seems i need to get an api code from
google.....

Incidentally, your webserver is configured so that the content-type for this URL is text/plain. Chrome/FF/Safari are doing the right thing by showing
a bunch of text, it's IE that's getting it wrong
