Cycle Wing Mounting

Just looking for some opinions ref mounting my front wings.... The wingstays I have result in me having to bend the stay twice to get the wing in the correct position over the wheel.. I could avoid this and only have one bend if I put the wing stays in through the side of the arch....

Which way would you recommend?

i allways weld them on the stays after first bending and having fitted them inside the cyclewing with kit (no bolts or screws, that will cause crazing)
