Fuel pump relay and MJ Lite

I'm not sure if this can be done, but here goes????

I need to fit a Facet fuel pump and a relay, but I was wondering, on a safety aspect, whether or not the Megajolt Lite could activate the relay to turn on and off the fuel pump, especially in an accident. I'm assuming that the Megajolt would not give a feed when the engine would stall or stop for any other reason.
If I just wire the relay to an ignition feed, I'm concerned that the fuel pump would continue to pump fuel especially if the fuel pipe got damaged in a crash, so you can see hopefully what I am getting at and what I'm after after?

If this can be done, what terminal on the MJ does the switching wire need to come from, and what terminal numbers on the relay do what?

Sorry but electrics are not my speciality!!!!!!!!!!

if you do a search on ebay for "fuel cut off switch" this might be what your after ?

in the event of an accident it would shut off the electrical supply to the fuel pump.

needs to be reset by pushing an actuator on the switch

Hi again.

I wired in the Facet fuel pump today up to the point of making the feed connection, and then I noticed in the instructions (who reads instructions?) it said about fitting an oil safety pressure switch to cut the pump feed if the engine stopped, which is what I am after I guess?
However, can I then piggy back the feed wire into the existing oil pressure switch wire, or will i need to fit another oil switch. It looks like there is another identical entry point in the zetec engine just backwards of the normal switch location.

If it needs a second switch, is this what I am after: OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ESCORT FIESTA MONDEO PUMA FOCUS | eBay UK

I have a '92 1.8 silver top.

Thanks guys.

If you're worried about cutting fuel in an accident, trying to do something with oil pressure is over complicated. Just get a cut off switch. I got one for about £8 and I put it between the relay and the fuel pump. It's designed to cut the pump in an accident, which is exactly what you want. Finding out your solution doesn't quite work once you've had an accident is a very bad time to find it out.
