r1 cylinder head needed!!

I,ve been turned over!!

After much head scratching i have discovered the cams on my 02 5pw are from an earlier carb version R1 and don't have the pickup for the cam sensor

also the cam holders which are supposed to be mated to the head look like they have been scrounged from another engine and lock the inlet cam when tightened

Altogether a total ballsup!!!

I need to source a complete 02 5pw head with cams

Hope someone can help a very pissed off carbuilder

Tony

I have a head I'm not using with cams, valves, cam fittings etc from a 5pw. The head is damaged from a bike that fell over but will the 5pw cams and bit be of any use to get it going?

Shouldn't you be able to just fit 5pw cams for the pickup?

The 5jj and 5pw cams are the same apart from the pickup so I'd have thought they'd fit.. Someone else maybe able to confirm. The head is cracked where the cam chain runs mate. Looks like the bike fell over and landed on the head bobbin.
