Fuel leak from new braided hose
I have just fitted new fuel pipe to my car, It's the clear braided 8mm stuff.
Now I'm unsure if this is suitable for fuel injection ?
I seem to have quite a few small seeps from where the pipe fits over the filter ends and also where it joins the fuel rail ?
I have tightned the jubilee clips up as far as possible.
I also notced that when there was no fuel in the pipe it was quite rigid but now with petrol in it the pipe is very plyable !
Any opinions on the fuel pipe in question ?

Thats one of the problems with braided hose, you cant tell whats happening underneath.
Jubilee clips or proper fuel clips?
Jubilee clips are very good at cutting through/damaging fuel hose.

If you stop that leak now it will leak later on. That clear braided stuff goes rock hard over time with petrol.

Get rid of it and put in a high pressure rubber hose. They can be seen when perishing / damaged.

as said above get yourself some proper high pressure fuel hose, and the correct fuel clamps, jubilee clips are no good for fuel and best to be safe

Yep it's the clear braided stuff much like garden hose !
It's jubilee clips not the proper fuel clips.
Think I will remove it all tomorrow and get the proper stuff, High pressure fuel hose and fuel clamps, As said, Better to be safe than sorry.

mate it sounds like you have bought Teflon Braided hose and not Rubber Braided hose! DOH! 
I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

There's your main problem - I did the same and had a fuel leak which I only saw by accident. I changed to Mikalor spring clips and no problems
since.

The clear fuel hose is rubbish and always was. Goes hard, stiff, cracks, leaks... Nothing good to say about it. Get some proper rubber fuel hose.
Don't be tempted by stainless braided hose either; Very pretty but you can't see when it's cracking.
Jubilee clips should never be used on fuel hoses and will often fail IVA if they notice them. The fixed nature of the screw housing dosen't
allow it to create an even presure around the pipe and it leaks. Proper fuel hose clips are flexible enough under the screw to give even presure and
seal.
