Busy Day in the Sunshine - First Start!!

Spent a good day out on the driveway today - great to be in the sunshine and space after a winter in the garage.

Managed to get the car to start for the first time today - no first start video as the camera crew (my son!) had little faith and didn't come out to film until it was too late.

Anyway - third start video is available here - You Tube Linky

Sounds a bit rough but that's probably becasue there's no exhaust - only the manifold - and I haven't adjsuted the carb or timing since putting it all back together. But boy is it a good feeling when it kicks into life....

So good that I dropped the body back on and spent some time mocking up my dash panels, seats and steering wheel even thought there's still miles to go. Just the major boost I needed after a few frustrating months of little progress.

Body is still fouling on the chassis so is sitting high at the front, and making the scuttle sit about 30mm too high at the moment but the photo's give the general idea of what I'm aiming for. Next task is to list all trim materials for the Stoneleigh Shopping List......
