I went today more to get the car out on a run than anything.

On the way over, went via Maidstone to discover rad fan not working (not wired up I suspect), so temp got up to 110 degs and started venting steam. went down to 88 ish once moving again.

On way back just getting back into Paddock Wood and what a downpour - waterproofs in rucksack not on me. Got slightly damp much to wife's amusement as I got back onto drivceway

Got carried away and slighly sideways on a couple of occassions. Oops

Probably the longest run the car has been on since about 2006, so long may it continue.

Show; oh wasn't really interested, was free as I was in toy car so walked around, had chips and icecream.

well have to say that we had a brilliant weekend there. Yes the Show was a bit quieter on both the owners side and the trade stalls, for me the latter didn't matter, i wasnt going along to nose at those stands and didnt have a shopping list for parts/accessories. It was kind of baffling that there were fewer owners there though, given that teh weather - especially on the Saturady was fantastic.
No matter, we had about 30 cars on the SKCC Stand and had a great laugh, it was good catching up with old + new faces, and like many things in life its what you make it. So we nattered, barbecued and then headed out for a late afternoon run beffore getting back to the site as about 13 of us were camping over.

Went on the Saturday and thought it was quiet. Weather was great though.
Went in the Westfield and came away having sold it unintentionally to Mike whom some of the skcc guys will know and see at the meets in the future i'm sure.

Not many we can print I will stick some suitable ones up later. The show was poor overall (apart from our stand of course ) A victim of being to close to Stoneleigh and after it I think. It was also too expensive.

From our (SKCC) point of view it was a crackin' show. With a Scalextric set up, a cinema and a music set as well as 40 + cars on display it was a hoot.

I'll post some piccies later.

UPDATE: As promised photos of Detling

Photomerge of our stand from the top of my Trooper (wife drove it as I was in my Indy)

Cinema

Marque being set up

Various shots of the stand

Night time images shot with my phone so limited quality I'm afraid
