Does a VIN Plate need quoted weights figures for IVA ?

Evening all,

Looking to make my own VIN plate and just wanted to check something.

The IVA manual section 18 states that only the Manufactures name and VIN number need to be on the plate, but they also include an example showing much more information (weights etc).

Am i right in thinking that all i really need to show is these two fields ?

Cheers
Tris

Mine was basically a sticker from MK with MK Sportscars and their address with the chassis number along the bottom. I stuck it to a bit of ally and rivetted to the bulkhead. No questions asked at IVA. That and stamped chassis number on offside chassis rail was sufficient. No weights on mine.

I think weights are ony required for commercial vehicles. Otherwise, the weights are just put on the MAC (or whavever it's called now) and the V5C
