Brake conversion advice
Evening all after some advice. I am changing my rear axle to an atlas from a Capri and while doing it decided to do a disc conversion. I have the weld
on brackets sierra calipers and sierra discs. I have just positioned everything in place and there is a rather large gap between the Caliper and weld
on bracket. I know you can expect to have to use spacers between bracket and Caliper but this is too much of a gap I'm sure. Any pics would be a
massive help.

They are usually designed to take the high offset 240mm Escort discs, are you sure they're meant to take the sierra ones?

i used bolt on brackets with my atlas conversion. they are designed to replace the back plate from drum. Do you have a picture? Could you not weld
on the brackets in a different place?

Thanks for the reply's, I did look at the escort discs after i posted this post and the offset would cure the problem. As for welding the
brackets in a different place the brackets come pre shaped to give you the correct radial profile for the disc etc so i would need to make my own from
scratch. Phelpsa do you know the best place to get escort discs?
many thanks Sam

Local motor factors is your best bet, I think mine were about £12 each.

They are smaller diameter than the sierra ones though. Are the sierra ones the right diameter?
