O/T recommend me a camcorder

Hi all,

I thought I'd consult the collective wisdom of the forum! I'm after a camcorder to use to take video of windsurfing and I have no idea where to start! I guess I want HD, but other than that, I am clueless! Can anyone help with some pointers or a 'I bought this one and it's great'. I want to edit the on my Mac if that's makes a difference?

Thanks!

Chris

If its just little clips you want to take, have you thought about buying a compacy camera that shoots in HD which is waterproof.

I have the previous version of this... its pretty good!

Do you mean on the board - or from dry land.

I have a contourHD which is fine and has a waterproof case option. But the weapon of choice, as used on TV seems to be the Go Pro which come with a waterproof case, and loads of brackets. Neither have screens so it's trial and error with aiming. However, the latest contour HD with GPS has bluetooth connectivity and you can use an iphone as a viewfinder. Both will work with a mac.

I've got one of these, although I only paid £220 for it, god know why the price has gone up. I've taken it sailing and managed to capsize 3 times (not all my fault!) with no prob's. If you're interested could u2u you a link to a video shot with it.

Geoff.

Did you know gopro now sell a screen to bolt onto the back of the standard gopro HD? Apparently it works brilliantly

Ah - I should have been clearer! I meant from land, mostly for coaching people.
