Yes, could be brake pedal test switch if the handbrake used doesn't have one built in...

I thought brake pedal but can see no possible reason why you would want a switch to turn the brake lights on?

No foot handbrake on the car, thinking about this one in bed, i assume that the car has no live at ignition on that switches off at engine start, with the brake level being an on / off switch that means no way to test the bulb. So i assume this is to test the brake low fluid bulb so needs looping in with a live to the brake bulb?
Leaves me one orange rocker switch that is unidentified, i would have guessed at hazard lights but they are off a switch on the top of the steering column, any thoughts?

Thanks
Chris

Loom is completely home made so no reference to anything. Just re-did the wires so that if i put the switch on the low brake light comes on, tested the brake reservoir switch and that works as well so all good. Now puts me back to finding how the washer stalk switch works on the column (escort 2 i think), just can't find the wires it connects.

Thanks all, starting to make more sense.
