Couple of VIN questions
Hi,
I started reading the bit in the manual about statutory plates. There is a 17 digit number which came stamped on a plate that had been welded to the
chassis when I collected the kit from MK. Should I contact the DVLA to ask whether I can use this number as it starts with "MKINDY..." so
contains an "I"?
Also, the current number is located on the nearside of the chassis in the engine bay. I understand this needs to be positioned on the right hand side
of the engine bay for IVA. I can get another plate made up, whichever VIN number the DVLA allow me to use and weld this on myself in the correct
position. However, I'm not sure whether to just leave the current plate where it is or whether to try and remove it?
